Bible Study at our Flat

Tuesday evening, 6:30 p.m., we were privileged to host the International Bible Study, at our Flat (apartment) on the Lancaster University Campus. Ben (pictured below) from Ghana led the study in the Book of Titus.

All ten of us, participated. Ave Maria from Jamaica and Molly, from England (pictured below) were
fellowshipping after the study had completed. We're sad :(, but its part of university life, Ave Maria will be leaving back for Jamaica in September, where she will resume her position in hospital management.

Visit with Rod and Jamie

Here at the Lancaster Train Station, just before they were to board the train for London, we had our photo shoot to commemorate their short visit with us.

The one main thing that was accomplished with their visit was reconnecting and catching up on news regarding both our families. We thank God for special friends like these!! Can you can tell from the photos, it was pouring down rain? Either way, we were prepared with umbrellas in hand!

Our Feathered Friends at Uni!!

Saturday morning, we were having breakfast. Two ducks came knocking
at our door. Tapping on the window and watching their webbed feet was fascinating. Sunday morning, here they come again, but they brought their friend. He only stayed for about 10 minutes and went off somewhere.

Sunday afternoon they showed up again, while we had our door open. I think the former renters made friends with the ducks. We're thinking of naming them, especially if they become regular visitors. Got some interesting names? Let me know!!

Oxford Centre for Mission Studies Lecture

Steve was asked by Hubert Allen, Roland Allen's grandson to take his place, lecturing at OCMS regarding his grandfather. With a bit of nervousness, he accepted the challenge. After an hour and 10
minutes, questions were raised for about 1/2 hour to 40 minutes.
The optimism
regarding his information, was taken with numerous questions. However, one gentleman expressed his pessimissim. Looking toward the future, the editor of the Journal at OCMS, David Singh, spoke favorably at publishing Steve's paper in the January 2012 Journal.
