These photos above, were taken at St. John's College in Oxford, where Steve applied to use their library. The libraries in Oxford have historical and archival significance in the history of civilization. Documents that are close to a thousand years old are housed in these libraries.
St. John's college is one of them. Also, Rhodes House, the Bodlein Library and Wycliffe Hall have significant material that Steve will be using for his doctoral research.
Monday morning, August 16, we drove from Catterall to Oxford. Our driving time was quite pleasant, with the sun shining and gradually warming up, the further south we got. We secured our accommodations at Wycliffe Hall and proceeded in the town of Oxford. Oxford has numerous universities, of which one is called Rhodes House. This is where the archives of Roland Allen are kept.
